When I got my package from Poodelum & Missy Kate I received two cute little fitted diapers and was given the choice to review one and give the other one away at the end of the September Fitted Diaper Event. They were both soooooo cute that I just couldn't decide. When in doubt I let my husband Brian choose, so he selected the Star Wars print. "May the force be with you!" You know you want to know what the other was, but there's no way I'm telling. You'll have to wait till the end of the month. Oh! And on a side note, I just want to say that Poodelum & Missy Kate carries my Easy Winged Prefolds design for all of you that don't feel like sewing your own. They're probably the best prefold design out there... but I might be biased. LOL! Anyways, check out my review of the Poodelum & Missy Kate OSFM Fitted. This has to be the trimmest fitted ever!

Approximate Retail Value: $6
Adjustability & Fit: ♥♥♥♥♥ - This diaper seriously hugs Lincoln like a dream! I love the super long tabs and the elastic seems perfect. I also love how thin the diaper is. It makes doing a fold down rise very easy.
Leak Protection: ♥♥♥♥♥ - Haha! Ok, this diaper seriously doesn't really hold much. It's a daytime must have cover type of diaper which is a bummer because I LOVE this print soooooo much. I hate to cover it up. My solution? I add in a Thirsties Hemp Insert because they're small and soak up a lot. They fit great in this diaper and extend the wear time by a lot! *Please note: This diaper does need a cover to be waterproof.*
Wash Routine: ♥♥♥♥♥ - Because this diaper has the soaker sewn in, I love that I don't have to worry about pairing up a soaker with the diaper after the wash is done. On the flip side though, I was totally amazed at how long this diaper took to dry. I would expect that it would dry fast because it's so thin, but it actually took a second dry to get fully dry (about 105 min).
Bang For The Buck: ♥♥♥♥♥ - Ok, at $6 you can't get much of a better deal than this diaper. It's a one size diaper too, so it will fit from birth to potty training. The only minus is that I would recommend you add a doubler to this fitted so it ups the price, but at $6 you can totally afford to buy a doubler. I love that you even get a cute print at this price. Awesome!
Quality & Durability: ♥♥♥♥♥ - I found the quality to be pretty good/average for this diaper. The sewing seemed good, but the materials are average. The exterior is flannel and the interior is fleece, so nothing fancy.

The Look: ♥♥♥♥♥ - Have I said enough times how much I love this print??? I do love it! This diaper is trim, cute, and fits well giving it a great look. Now if I could just add snaps to it, then we would be in business.
In Conclusion:
I love this diaper... I just don't love the snapless aspect to it. I really like to show off my fitted prints and I just can't do that in a snapless diaper... especially not a snapless diaper that I can't get a Snappi on. So my recommendation is to either get this diaper in snaps, or get this diaper with a knit fabric so a Snappi will work on it. This is an awesome economical option and with a doubler will totally work well for a light to average wetter.

Can't see the video on this one :(
ReplyDeleteThat's weird. It's showing up on mine. Maybe if you try and reload the page again?
DeleteThe only detouring factor for me is that I'm pin-disfunction...unless we are talking about pinterest, then I'm all over it LOL Even that doesn't really matter, because I have snap pliers. So I think it's still a WIN for us. Thanks again for all your awesome reviews!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Yes, I'm all over Pinterest!
DeleteWhat a neat idea to make a pocket fitted! I've never seen that before, but it makes sense. And yes, I love that print too (hubs is a huge Star Wars fan from the age of 3)!
ReplyDeleteFor $6 you can't go wrong! I love your suggestion of the Thirsties hemp insert inside. We have a couple of them and they really are a-maz-ing! I agree with the comment above about being pin-disfunctional lol. We have a couple snapless and I can literally hear my daughter saying "Figure it out already mom!" when I try to get them on her.
