When I first heard about iCaughtSanta I was so excited! I just knew that my girls would be totally psyched to sneak a picture of Santa in our living room. So far they've been totally into finding our Elf On The Shelf every morning, and the only thing I can think of that would top that would be to find Santa in our home. For those of you that haven't heard of iCaughtSanta you're in for a treat. Here's how it works.
Step 1 - Capture Your Background
Take a digital picture of your Christmas tree or maybe your fireplace ... it's up to you. This will be your background photo.
Step 2 - Create Your Photo
Pick one of their many Santa poses and magically place him into your background photo.
Step 3 - Share The Magic!
Download, email or print your photo, automatically, for quick pickup at a store near you. Plus you can share it instantly to more than 30 popular web sites.
I've already got it all planned out. I plan to tell my girls that we're going to be sneaky this year. My girls LOVE being sneaky. We're going to set up my camera in an inconspicuous place directed at the Christmas tree (or stockings above the fireplace ... I'm not sure). Then I'll tell the girls that we're going to set a timer on the camera to have it go off at midnight when Santa would be there. In the morning we'll check the camera and see if we "Caught Santa". Meanwhile after they go to bed I'll snap a picture of our Christmas tree. The reason I'm waiting till Christmas Eve is because I want the tree to look exactly like it will in the morning. I even want all the gifts from us and Santa under the tree. Then I'll load my picture onto iCaughtSanta.com and morph Santa into our picture. Not sure what I'll have him doing yet. Sleeping on our couch? Putting gifts under the tree? Checking his list twice? ... anyways, I'll pick a Santa and create my picture. Then I'll save the picture on my computer. When the girls wake up we'll get my hidden camera and I'll pretend to download the pictures onto my computer (really my secret Santa picture will already be on there). The shock on their faces will be priceless when they see that they "Caught Santa" !!! I can't wait! The trick will be fooling my 6 year old, Riley. She's a smart one. I think it'll work though. These pictures look pretty authentic.
If this works out well I might just have to use some of their other CatchACharacter sites: iCaughtTheEasterBunny, iCaughtTheToothFairy, & iCaughtCupid.
