Scarlet's Naturals - Review

Scarlet's Gift Set (Lotion, Wash, Cream, & Bites)
Scarlet's Gift Set
Well I'm at it again.  What can I say?  I love baby booty cream.  Haha!  Yes, this is the 5th brand of baby booty cream I've tried.  You know what the funny thing is?  I never even used diaper rash cream with my girls... or at least I really hated it.  Regular diaper rash cream is sooooo gross.  It's thick, doesn't smell great, gets everywhere, and is hard to wash off.  Ugh!  I hate that stuff!  Then there is cloth diaper safe diaper rash cream.  It's light, smells good (most of the time), and just rubs right into the skin.  Oh I love it!  It's like a smooth lotion only better.

Well I came across another natural baby products line recently.  I kept hearing the name Scarlet's Naturals on the cloth diaper boards here and there and everyone had such great things to say about their products.  I mostly heard good things about the diaper rash cream.  Comments ranged from "GREAT" to "AMAZING!"  I just had to try it!  I was super excited when Desiree, the creator of Scarlet's Naturals, posted that she was looking for testers for one of her new products.  On top of that I was even more excited to be offered to test out her Scarlet's Gift Set containing some of her most popular products, including her Hiney Honey Bites, Hiney Honey Cream, Honey Lotion, and Honey Wash.  Would it live up to all the hype?  Check out my thoughts below.

Scarlet's Hiney Honey Cream for baby diaper rash
"Scarlet's Hiney Honey Cream is an all natural diaper rash cream. It is cloth diaper safe, no barrier or liner needed. Just rub a pea size amount into your hand and apply liberally to affected skin. Works well for other skin problems, such as dry, sensitive skin or eczema. Using the power of coconut oil, Hiney Honey Cream is able to safely and effectively clear up skin."
What I Love: Let me just start off by saying that this stuff is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!  Yes, the rumors were right.  This stuff is magical.  I could tell from the first time I used it that Linc's butt was softer.  I know baby butts are soft, but Linc's is super soft now.  He also has yet to have diaper rash since we began using the cream and I've been using it almost a month now.  I did try it out on a rash on his neck and it did nothing, but then again I've yet to find anything that will take that rash away, so I'm not sure what to do about it.
What I Would Change: I know I've said before that I don't like diaper rash cream in tins or jars because it's messier than sticks or tubes but Scarlet's Naturals has already addressed this.  She just came out with her Hiney Honey Cream in stick form!  I did try the tester, but have yet to try her perfected formula.  I can't wait to try that one.  I also wish her formula came in a scented version.  I did talk to her about this and it looks like adding a scent would change the formula too much and it wouldn't be as effective and/or would not be as good for sensitive skin.  Knowing this I am fine with it being an unscented formula because my baby's bum is much more important, but I'm still a sucker for super yummy smelling things.

Scarlet's Hiney Honey Bites wipe cubes
"Hiney Honey Bites are dissolvable wipe solution bites. Cloth diaper safe, they make diaper changes easier. Dissolve in hot water, once cooled either pour over wipes or place into a spray bottle and spray directly onto wipe when ready to use. Uses Tea Tree oil as an antibacterial and antifungal to leave fresh and clean. Can also be used as a bath water conditioner if your child has raw or sensitive skin. Just place a couple in tub and enjoy! Comes in 5 scents: Pearberry, Coconut, Raspberry, Soothing Lavender, and Unscented."
What I Love: Speaking of super yummy smelling things... Scarlet's Hiney Honey Bites ARE super yummy smelling!!!  When I got her package in the mail I couldn't stop smelling it.  It took me awhile to figure out which item was creating the super awesome smell, but I soon found out these were the culprit.  I got the Pearberry scent and it's simply delicious!  Please take note though... The strength of the smell will vary depending on how many cubes you use.  Two gives a very subtle scent to my wipes in the warmer, but I think I'll use three next time.  I could also tell as soon as I started using it that wiping Linc's butt was a lot smoother.  It seems like just another layer of protection in addition to the Hiney Honey Cream.  The wipe just glides across his butt now.
What I Would Change:  I wish making up the wipe solution was a bit faster.  I'm not a fan of having to go heat up some water in order for the cubes to dissolve.  I prefer using a liquid wipe solution that I can just pour in.  I have been using the microwave lately and that's helping, but I'm a bit impatient.

Scarlet's Honey Lotion for baby
"Paraban free and extra gentle for delicate skin Honey Lotion uses Lanolin, Vitamin E, Aloe Vera, and coconut oil to give a boost of moisturize and protect skin. This all natural lotion is 100% chemical free, non-irritating and works great on all skin types including dry, sensitive skin, or eczema. Comes in 4 scents- Soothing Lavender, Oatmeal Milk & Honey, Pearberry, and Unscented! Soothing Lavender Works Great for Bedtime!"
What I Love: I sampled the Oatmeal Milk & Honey lotion.  It's a subtle fragrance which is nice when you're just about to put your baby to bed.  You don't want to get something that's so strong that your baby won't be able to sleep.  The consistency seems really nice too.  Not too oily and rubs in very well.
What I Would Change:  I can't think of anything I would change about the lotion.  I would love to try some of the other scents though.  Lavender sounds so soothing and Pearberry is so yummy!

Scarlet's Honey Wash as a shampoo for baby
"Made out of a Castile base, this body wash is incredibly gentle on baby skin, and is as close to a no tear babywash that an all natural baby wash can be! This low lather wash is 100% chemical free, non-irritating and works great on all skin types including dry, sensitive skin,or eczema. Comes in 4 scents- Soothing Lavender, Oatmeal Milk & Honey, Pearberry, and Unscented! Soothing Lavender Works Great for Bedtime!"

What I Love: The first time I washed Linc's hair with Scarlet's Honey Wash my husband couldn't stop saying how good Linc's hair smelled and how soft it was.  So funny because the Oatmeal Milk & Honey scent is so subtle, but it's just enough that it makes you want to say yum and go in for another sniff of sweet baby hair.  I also noticed that Linc's hair stays looking nice for longer than other shampoos.  Normally his hair gets oily looking after a day or two, but not with this one.  I try not to dry out his hair so I only wash it a couple times a week.  I can't wait to try some of the other scents.  Like the lotion I'd LOVE to try the Pearberry and Lavender.
What I Would Change: I'm a lather type of girl and I guess natural soaps do not lather.  This made it hard for me to feel confident when it came to washing Linc's body.  I felt I was using more wash than I should have, but I just wanted bubbles.  Because of this I'll probably just use the wash for Linc's hair.  I don't want to waste a whole bunch of his yummy wash trying to make bubbles when it's just not going to.

In Conclusion ...
I'm a total fan of the Hiney Honey Cream and I will be getting it again, and again, and again.  Yep, it's that good.  I'll also probably get more of the Honey Wash for Linc's hair.  I just laugh every time my husband sniffs his head and smiles.  I can't take that simple pleasure away from him, or me for that matter.  I'm not sure if I'm sold on wipes cubes yet, but that's a personal preference for me.  The product is great as far as wipes cubes.  I'm just too lazy to prep them.  I'm on the fence about the lotion.  We'll see if I keep up my routine of putting lotion on Linc.  I don't usually do it, but if I do then I'll definitely get more of the lotion as well.  I'm in love with that Pearberry scent so I'm sure I'll test that one out next.  So what's the verdict?  Thumbs up for me.  I would recommend this product line to anyone and would definitely say that the Hiney Honey Cream is a must have!

Happy Baby Booty Balm - Now In Spray and Squeeze Tube Form!

Last fall I wrote a review on the Happy Baby Booty Balm by Mum Mum Crafts.  At that time the product had just hit the shelves and was only available in a small tin.  As much as I loved the product (and still do), I am not a fan of sticking my finger in tins, jars, or anything of that sort.  This includes coconut oil, lip balm, peanut butter ... and yes diaper rash balm.  It just seems to get my hands messier than they need to get.  That being said, I was super excited when I found out that Mum Mum Crafts was coming out with a spray version of their super awesome Happy Baby Booty Balm.  How awesome would that be???  All you have to do is aim, spray, rub, and go.  Easy as that!  Needless to say I bought a bottle ASAP.  At the same time I mentioned to the owner Lucy, that it would also be awesome if the balm was offered in a squeeze tube.  Wouldn't you know it, she created a squeeze tube version not more than a week or two later.  That's awesome customer service!!!  So of course I bought one of those too.

Let me back up a bit to first tell you what made me fall in love with the Happy Baby Booty Balm.  First off, it's great for cloth diapers.  As you may know, regular diaper rash creams are a no-no in the cloth diaper world.  You need to make sure you pick a cloth diaper safe cream that will wash out easily.  The second thing that drew me in was the smell.  Ahhhhhh!  I could smell this balm all day long.  It's an earthy, woodsy, sweet smell that just makes me want to bath in it.  Oh yes, I would!  The third thing that drew me in ... it works!  If Linc's bum is red then it takes the redness away in one or two changes.  If his bum is dry then it adds moisture in one or two changes.  Easy as that!  Oh, and just to let you know ... Yes, it's green.  Yes, it weirded me out at first.  Yes I got over it.  Yes I LOVE it!

So how did the new versions work you ask?  Well ...

Happy Baby Booty Balm - .6 oz Squeeze Tube - $5 & 2 oz Squeeze Tube - $16
I love the new squeeze tube!  It's the same great formula as the original version in the tin, only now I feel I have a bit more control over how much I use and I don't get any stuck up under my nails.  I love that it comes in two sizes too.  I can use the little bottle in my diaper bag, or even my purse, while I keep the larger bottle at home next to the changing table.  The only downside is that the squeeze tube makes it a bit more difficult to use those last few drops of balm, where you can wipe down every bit in the tin.

Happy Baby Booty Spray - 2oz Spray Bottle - $9.75
Yet another easy way to use Mum Mum Craft's Happy Baby Booty products.  Just one or two quick sprays (I usually do two), rub it in, and you're ready to go.  The smell is pretty close to the same as the balm, but I can smell just a hint of olive oil in it.  So yummy!  This formula is thinner than the original version.  The original version comes out in more of a gel consistency, while the spray comes out in more of an oil consistency.  Currently this is my go to product at my changing table.  I like how fast and easy it is.  I even leave it with the cap off so I only need one hand to squirt and rub while the other hand is free to hold Linc's legs.  All the other options I would need two hands.

Overall I love the entire Happy Baby Booty line!  Even my girls think the smell is oh so yummy.  I just can't get over it.  I think I need a lotion or perfume in this fragrance for myself.  It's just like candy to me ... in a musty, earthy type of way.  It's hard to say what my favorite is.  I think I'm going to say the squeeze tube.  I have better control than the spray and I don't get any stuck under my nails like the tin.  It's just perfect!

If you would like to purchase Mum Mum's Crafts - Happy Baby Booty Balm or Spray (or any of her other products), you can find them at her Etsy Shop, or Hyena Cart Shop.  Also be sure to check out Mum Mum's Crafts on FacebookTwitter, and Mum Mum's Blog, for the latest news on new products and current specials.

The Perfect Cloth Diapering Jeans!!!

When I first started researching cloth diapers I remember several moms telling me that when it came to clothing I should stick with stretch pants and forget about the jeans.  Then when I finally got the chance to start using cloth diapers on Lincoln I realized exactly what they meant, and if you cloth diaper then I'm sure you know exactly what they were talking about too.  Despite the advice I had several pairs of jeans for Linc.  Every time I put them on him ... let me rephrase that.  Every time I TRIED to put them on him I tugged.  I pulled.  I bounced Linc up and down and tried to squeeze his big fluffy butt into those tight unforgiving jeans.  Yes, I did get them on, but not without a lot of work.  Why couldn't there be an easier way????  I'm a jeans type of girl and I just know Linc was meant to be a jeans type of boy.

Fast forward a couple months.  My sister in-law got Linc the cutest little outfit for Christmas.  It was a light blue shirt with sneakers on it and a pair of GUESS jeans.  "Oh no!" you think?  "Not jeans!" you say?  Well let me tell you these are no ordinary jeans.  These are AMAZING jeans!!!  These jeans were meant for a cloth diaper booty.  Think pajama jeans (the infomercial jeans), but in mini form.  They're jeans that look like blue jeans, but feel like stretchy pants.  They're oh so soft, oh so stretchy, and oh so cute!  These jeans fit Linc sooooo perfectly and I wish I had a million pairs.

BUT ...

I wish I had told you about them a month or two ago.  I just went on their site and although they still have a few of the boys jeans outfit, the boys sweatshirt jeans outfit, and the girls sweatshirt jeans outfit, they don't have all the sizes anymore.  I'm bummed because I really would have loved to get bigger sizes for Linc.  I searched high and low online and can not find any pants that compare to them.  I think it's time for someone to capitalize on this great idea.  We need jeans for the cloth diapered booty!  Anyone up to the task?  I did find a tutorial on the blog Running With Scissors that showed How To Make Baby Jeggings (Jeans+Leggings) that looked somewhat similar, but not quite.  If you're the crafty type then it's worth a shot to test them out.  Let me know how it goes.  Maybe Linc will give me a few hours free time to make him a pair, but till then I hope he never grows out of his GUESS jeans.  I just had to tell you about them!  If you have a little one that can fit into the sizes that they still have available I would run over there and scoop up as many as you can get.  You won't regret it!

Your DIY Solution To Diaper Pail Stinkies

Does your diaper pail smell less than luxurious?  Does it lack the smell of roses and lavender?  Is that a stupid question?  Sure it is.  I mean it's a pail that stores a whole load of pee and poo.  Why would it smell luxurious?  I know we've talked about a few ways you can help to keep the stink away.  Make sure your pail has good air flow.  Spray off poopy diapers.  Sprinkle some baking soda in your pail.  Wash your diapers at least every other day.  All of these sujestions can really help to minimize the stink.  But what about the roses?  What about the lavender?  Is that too much to ask?  I don't think so.  Below I'm going to show you a tutorial on How To Make Your Own Diaper Pail Essential Oil Diffuser Pillow.  Attached to the inside of your diaper pail this diffuser will freshen your nursery and keep those stinkies at bay.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
(2) 4"x4" Fabric Squares (I just used some terrycloth fabric scraps I had)
(1) 4"x8" Fabric Rectangle  (I just used some terrycloth fabric scraps I had)
(1) 1/2"x1" Sew On Velcro Loop
(1) 1/2"x1" Stick On Velcro Hook
Essential Oil (I used lavender)

STEP BY STEP:
- Sew the Velcro loop strip to the center of one of the 4"x4" pieces of fabric.  Sew a straight stitch as close to the edge as possible.  Make sure the Velcro is sewn on with the loop facing out on the "right" side of the  fabric.
- Lay the two 4"x4" fabric squares on top of each other.  Make sure that the "right" sides of each fabric are facing each other.  The Velcro should be on the inside as well.
- Sew a straight stitch 1/4" in around the squares.  Make sure to leave about 2" open so you can turn the pillow right side out.
- Cut the extra fabric off the three sewn sides and the corners.  Leave the extra fabric on the side that you did not sew shut.
- Take your 4"x8" fabric piece and fold it in half... then fold it in half again... then fold it in half again... till you have a little square.
- Turn the pillow right side out.  Make sure to fully push out each of the corners.
- Stuff the pillow with the folded up piece of fabric.
- Fold the ends of the fabric in on the open section of the pillow.
- Sew around the entire pillow with a straight stitch an 1/8" in.  Make sure that you seal the opening closed.

- Add some Essential Oil to your pillow.  Start with about 5 drops.  Don't overdo it!  I didn't think it was getting enough and put way too much on.  Let's just say that the room smelled a little "too good".  If you accidentally put too much just throw it in the wash (with towels or something not cloth diaper related).  If it's not enough just add more.  You can add any fragrance you want.  I'm using lavender right now.
- Stick your sticky back piece of Velcro hook onto the underside of the lid of your diaper pail.
- Stick your pillow to the Velcro on the diaper pail.

Voila!  You're done.  Now sniff the air and know that it will not burn the hairs from your nose... unless you put way too much essential oil on your pillow like I did.  You can use these little pillows anywhere.  If you don't need to stick it on a surface then just eliminate the Velcro.  You can put these in your lingerie drawer.  You can put them in your shoe closet.  You can put one in your gym bag.  Freshen up your life with a little essential oil.  {Snifffff} Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!  Smells so good.

KAEL&KAED Small Wet Bag Review

If you read my post last Monday then you'll already know that wet bags were #9 on my Top 15 Cloth Diaper Must Haves list.  Sure you could use a Ziploc or plastic grocery bag, but then you lose out on a couple of the key reasons why you would use a wet bag in the first place.  So that brings me to the question, "What is a wet bag and why do I need one?".  Well let me tell you ...

A wet bag is a waterproof bag that you use to store your dirty diapers in while on the go.  They come in several different sizes and styles.  The large ones are great to use at home instead of a diaper pail while the small ones are great for short trips to run errands.  Normally they have a waterproof lining, a decorative exterior fabric, zippered closure, and if you're lucky they also have a snapped loop handle so you can hang it anywhere.      The super awesome part ... you can still use these after you're done cloth diapering.  Heading to the beach or pool?  Throw your wet swimsuit in here when you're done.  Use it as a toiletries travel bag.  How about a chick looking trash bag for your car?  The possibilities are endless.  As if that wasn't enough to convince you of the importance of a wet bag, think of all the plastic you will be keeping out of the landfills by not using Ziploc bags or plastic grocery bags.  You just use your wet bag then throw it in the wash with your diapers.  That's it!

Now on to the good stuff.  My latest love.  My kael&kaed small wet bag...

KAEL&KAED is run by Tasha, a sweet mom of two little boys, Kael & Kaeden.  I met Tasha last year through the new cloth diaper line LUXbutt of which she is a co-owner of.  It was then that I found out that she not only helped to design a fabulous cloth diaper line, but she also had her own WAHM business of "trendy handmade (baby) things", called KAEL&KAED.  I love all her products which include hazelwood jewelry, snack bags, bandana bibs, belts, hair ties, and of course Wet Bags.  They're all so original and fun looking with a personal organic touch to them.  I also love that they're made in Canada.  Ok, I know I'm not Canadian, but a lot of my readers are and it's great to show off a product that they can buy locally.  That said I was so excited when Tasha gave me the opportunity to test out one of her wet bags and I'm so excited to tell you all about it.

Some of the great custom fabric options available.
When I received the wet bag in the mail I actually gasped.  I don't know if Tasha scanned my blog ahead of time or if it was just meant to be, but the wet bag seriously looks like it was made just for Lincoln.  I mean ONLY for him.  It matches his room exactly.  I don't think I could have picked a wet bag that would match his room any better.  It was amazing and I LOVE it!!!  That's the main reason I love KAEL&KAED (and Tasha of course).  You can get a completely custom item made just for you that nobody else will own.  There's something about that special touch that just makes you love that item that much more.  Click here to see some of the current KAEL&KAED Custom Fabric Options.

The fabric isn't the only reason I love this wet bag though.  I also love that it has a snapped loop handle on it. Is that the technical term???  I don't know.  Whatever the technical term is, I love them.  The handles are great if you run out of room in your diaper bag and you want to attach it to the outside of your diaper bag.  You can really hang it just about anywhere though.  You can hang it on a door handle, on your stroller, on a hook, or better yet, make your kids hold it if they're an older toddler (it is their dirty diapers anyway).  So many great reasons to have a handle.  Better yet, the handle has a snap so you can easily open and close the handle if you need to wrap it around something (like your diaper bag strap).  I noticed that a lot of major wet bag brands don't have this strap, or don't have the snap, and I really appreciate that this one does.

I also love the craftsmanship of this wet bag.  It's made just as well, if not better than some of my other name brand wet bags that I own.  It's that keen eye that guarantees that the product you're getting is in perfect condition when you get it.  The outside is made with 100% cotton and the inside layer is made from water resistant PUL.  I love that all edges are hidden and sewn in between the layers of fabric.  It creates a super clean look and a leak proof design.  I've had this wet bag filled with super wet diapers and wipes, smooshed in my overstuffed diaper bag, and sometimes upside down, without a leak to be found.

So what would I change about the wet bag?  Not much, but I do have one request.  I'd like to see the small size just a tiny bit bigger.  I love all the other size options and there seems to be an option for just about any occasion, but there seems to be a larger jump from the small to the medium than all the other sizes.  I'd like the small to be around 9x11.  That would give me plenty of room to fit two cloth diapers.  Right now I can fit two if I really squeeze them in there, but I'd like just a bit more room.  Sure I could go for a medium, but I'm picky (just ask my husband).  Just in case you were wondering, these are the sizes available.

Small - 8x10 - $16/$20 (fits 1-5 diapers)
Medium - 12x14 - $21/$25 (fits 5-8 diapers)
Large - 14x17 - $26/$30 (fits 8-12 diapers)
Jumbo - 17x21 - $31/36 (fits 12-15 diapers)

So there you have it.  I love the KAEL&KAED wet bag and would recommend it to anyone.  You can find KAEL&KAED products on Etsy.  She has both ready made items as well as custom slots.  In addition to the Etsy site, I also like to keep my eye on her KAEL&KAED Facebook page.  That's where you'll find the latest and greatest products as well as some great discount deals.  She also previews products there quite often, so sometimes you can snag up some really cute products before they ever hit the Etsy store (that's how I got my hazelwood necklace from her).  Speaking of great discount deals, KAEL&KAED is offering 15% off Custom Wet Bags for all Adventures In Fluff Readers using the Coupon Code "WET15".  This code will expire May 31st, so don't wait too long.  She books up fast.  To redeem the coupon code, just e-mail Tasha at kaelkaed@gmail.com.

Top 15 Modern Cloth Diaper Must Haves

I've been meaning to write this post for awhile now, but when DiaperShops.com posted their "No Pins Required Pinterest Contest" it really pushed me into gear. I've been officially cloth diapering Lincoln for over four months now and have a pretty good idea of what I bought that helped, what didn't, and what I couldn't live without. Listed below are my top 15 must haves for cloth diapering. Stick to this list and I assure that you will be ready for any and all cloth diaper situations ... Adventures In Fluff style.

DiaperShops.com
#1 - Supportive Community - Why is a supportive community number 1?  Because you just can't do this alone.  I don't know how many times my cloth diaper support groups have helped me.  Too many times to count I would assume.  This was especially true in the beginning.  In the beginning I had nobody near me that knew about cloth or even supported my decision to cloth diaper.  Where do I start?  What do I do?  How do I fix this?  So many questions.  Who else are you going to run to when you get a new diaper in the mail and want to share your excitement?  Certainly not your next door neighbor that's going to think your pregnancy knocked one too many screws loose in your head.  So where do you find these communities?  Online forums like DiaperSwappers is great.  There are tons of Facebook groups.  If you have a local cloth diaper store then start there.  Maybe they have a group.  The Great Cloth Diaper Change is coming up April 21st.  You'll meet LOTS of cloth mamas there.  Whatever your source, you're going to need a group of parents that you can go to when it comes to The Good, The Bad, and The Poopy of cloth diapering.  My Faves: Fertility Friend "The Cloth Diaper Crew" (paid subscription), Facebook Group "Cloth Diaper Chat", & all the cloth diaper Facebook pages (I tend to frequent my favorite brands, stores, & blogs).

TIDE Ultra Detergent
#2 - Laundry Routine And Detergent - This was a VERY close second for me.  I almost put it as number 1.  I don't know how many people I've seen quit cloth diapering because they can't get a good laundry routine down.  This was one of the areas that I spent most of my time researching before Lincoln was born.  There's nothing more discouraging when you really want cloth diapering to work, but you keep getting leaks, stink, buildup, and stains.  This is a tricky one though because everyone's laundry routine and detergent that works for them is different.  It all depends on your water, your load size, the age of your child (pee concentration and poop type), the washer you have, and the types of diapers you have.  Do you have hard or soft water?  Do you have large or small loads of laundry?  Do you have a newborn or a toddler?  Do you have a top loader or a front loader washing machine?  Do you have mostly synthetic diapers or natural diapers?  It all comes into play when trying to come up with your laundry routine and detergent type.  I don't mean to scare you.  It's really not that bad.  Most routines are fairly similar in fact.  It's just a matter of tweaking it to fit your needs.  My Faves: My Cloth Diaper Wash Routine with Tide Ultra.

Bumgenius 3.0 All In One
#3 - Easy All-In-One Diapers - These diapers are perfect for dad, grandparents, and childcare facilities.  To tell you the truth I LOVE them for myself too.  They're just so easy and about as close to a disposable diaper as you can get.  Get these with hook and loop closures and you pretty much have a disposable diaper.  Sure they take longer to dry and you can't customize the absorbency as easy as a pocket diaper, but they are soooooo easy.  I just love them.  These are my out and about diaper.  If I have to run errands then you can bet an All-In-One diaper is what's in my diaper bag.  My Faves: Ragababe & BumGenius 3.0 AIO (discontinued)

SoftBums Echo AI2 Diaper
#4 - Economical All-In-Two Diapers - When I first started researching cloth diapers I totally did not understand the point of an All-In-Two diaper.  How could a little snap in insert contain everything?  How could you possibly re-use the diaper shell again?  Wouldn't that be gross?  Wouldn't it be soaked with pee or smeared with poop?  Ick!!!!  Then I tried a few.  OMG!  I love them!  I just love being able to take out a wet soaker (I just use my wipe to unsnap it and throw it in the laundry bag) and then snap in a new soaker for the next change.  It makes me feel so great that I get to use my super cute shells more than once.  If the shell is slightly damp then I let it dry and use it for the next diaper change.  If it gets poop on it (Linc doesn't poop as often as I thought he would), then I just throw it in the laundry.  Not only do I love that I can use my cute diapers more than once, but I'm saving money by doing so.  The shell is the most expensive part and if I get to use it 2, 3, or even 4 times, then I'm usually paying wayyyy less than any other diaper system (except prefolds and covers).  I also find that my All-In-Two systems are much trimmer fitting than most other diapers.  Great when you're trying to fit jeans over a diaper.  That said, I normally use my All-In-Two's at home so I have somewhere to hang my diaper shell up in between changes.  I also use these for long distance travel since they take up the least amount of space in my luggage.  My Faves: Ragababe Two Steps, SoftBums Echo, & Grovia Shells.

Tiny Tush Elite Pocket Diaper
#5 - Night Time Diaper Solution - When your baby starts sleeping through the night ... or more than a two hour stretch, you're going to need a night time diaper solution.  Now that solution is different for everyone.  It depends on several factors.  Is your baby a heavy wetter?  Is your baby sensitive to wetness?  Does your baby sleep on their back, tummy, or side?  Linc is easy.  He sleeps on his back, he's not a heavy wetter, and he's not sensitive to wetness.  We can do almost anything.  That said, Linc does go 12 hours without a diaper change at night so we do need a solution that can hold a lot of liquid just in case.  Some parents use fitted diapers with PUL or wool.  Some parents use pocket diapers with lots of inserts.  There are many other options as well.  I myself am a pocket with inserts type of girl.  My Faves: Tiny Tush Elite or Kawaii Heavy Duty, paired with a Thirsties Hemp Insert

Hefty Pail & Planet Wise Liner
#6 - Dirty Diaper Storage Solution - You're going to need somewhere to put all your stinky diapers until laundry day.  There are lots of options out there, but I've found that it's best to take the following into consideration.  A diaper pail with airflow keeps stink away better than a diaper pail that is tightly closed.  I also find that a plastic container is best, just in case your pail liner springs a leak.  Once in awhile I like to set that bad boy outside and let it air out with the fresh clean air.  Using a pail liner will help to keep your pail clean and avoid having to wash it every other day.  I own two so that while one liner is in the wash, the other goes into my pail.  Another option is to use a large hanging wet bag.  This is a great option if you just don't have the space for a diaper pail or if you move your diaper changing station from one area to another depending on what time of the day it is.  My Faves: (2) Planet Wise Pail Liners and Hefty 13.3 Pivot Lid Wastebasket

Home Made Cloth Wipes
#7 - Cloth Wipes - I can't say enough good things about cloth wipes.  I LOVE them!  Gone are the days where it took 10 wipes to clean up a poopy mess.  I use at the most 2 cloth wipes for each diaper change and 90% of the time I only need one.  I have about 50 cloth wipes on hand, but you could easily get away with about 35.  My Faves: Ragababe & My own home made cloth wipes made with terrycloth and flannel (tutorial here)

Mommy Loves Maddy Cover

#8 - Newborn Diapers - Some debate on whether newborn diapers are necessary or not.  Some go with prefolds and covers till their baby can fit in one-size diapers.  Some just go with disposables.  Not me!  There's something about newborn diapers that just makes your eggs drop in hopes of another newborn to put them on.  Newborn diapers are just toooooo cute to pass up.  Not only are they too cute, but they have a great resale value so you usually get a lot of your money back on them.  Not in the mood to buy newborn diapers and deal with selling them?  Try renting them instead.  I almost did.  My Faves: Kissaluvs Cotton Fleece Fitted Diapers (Size: 0) with a Thirsties Duo Wrap (Size: 1).  See more of my favorite newborn diapers HERE.

KAEL&KAED Wet Bag
#9 - Wet Bags - You're on the go and you've got to change a diaper.  What do you do?  Yes, you could throw it in your diaper bag and hope it doesn't leak (yes, I've done this before).  You could leave it on the floor of your car till you get home (can someone say hot stink box? ... ummm no thank you!).  You could just leave the diaper on the baby and let them marinate in their own sloshy mess (hmmmm ... not a bad idea.  Ok, I'm not that mean).  What you do is get a wet bag.  Wet bags are waterproof bags that zip up and hold your wet stinky diapers till you get home or it's time to wash them.  They come in several sizes and I recommend you get a couple sizes.  I have a couple small ones (they'll hold about one or two diapers), and a couple medium ones (they'll hold about 6-8 diapers).  The small ones are great for really quick trips out of the house.  The medium ones are great for all day trips out of the house.  The large ones are great for overnight trips (I still need to get one of those).  The best part?  When you're done with cloth diapering these can be used for pool or beach bags to hold your wet swim suits.  My Faves: Planet Wise & KAEL&KAED

CJ's Butter
#10 - Diaper Rash Cream - Now one of the reasons that I decided to cloth diaper Lincoln was because I heard that babies got less diaper rash when cloth diapered due to the diaper being more breathable and less chemicals being used.  For us that has been pretty much true, but we do still get the occasional diaper rash.  When using cloth diapers you can't use the typical diaper rash creams that you would use with disposable diapers.  They would leave a buildup on your diapers that would cause your diapers to repel and leak.  You need to use a diaper rash cream that is labeled to be cloth diaper friendly.  My Faves: CJ's Butter & Mum Mum Crafts Baby Booty Balm

Blueberry Pocket Diaper & Ragababe Doublers
#11 - Diaper Doublers - A diaper doubler is basically anything that you can use to boost up the absorbency of your cloth diapers.  There are many reasons why you might want to increase the absorbency.  You'll probably need a doubler at night since your baby will be in the diaper for a long time.  You'll probably want a doubler for long car rides since your baby will be pressing on their diaper in a seat.  You'll probably want a doubler for a heavy wetter baby.  There are many options out there to choose from.  You can use hemp, cotton, bamboo, microfiber, prefolds, etc.  My Faves:  Thirsties Hemp Inserts , Ragababe Doublers & Inserts & BabyKicks Joey Bunz

Sigma Diaper Sprayer
#12 - Diaper Sprayer - I haven't used my diaper sprayer yet, but you can bet that it was at the top of my list to buy one for later on down the road.  We're actually only about a month or two away from breaking that bad boy out.  So what's a diaper sprayer you ask?  Oh well let me tell you it's a super fun device that you hook up to your toilet plumbing to spray your @$$ with after you take a dump.  Haha!  Ok, that's what my husband thinks it's for.  Actually it is a device that you use to spray the poop from your diapers onto you, your toilet, and the walls of your bathroom (if you're not diaper sprayer skilled).  That said, I plan to conquer the diaper sprayer technique so that I can avoid having to swish Linc's diapers in the toilet... and clean my walls  The point of the diaper sprayer is to get as much poop off the diapers before you throw them in the wash.  You don't need to do this with breastfed poo since it's water soluble (thus I have not broke my diaper sprayer out yet), but as soon as babies start solids or formula then you're going to need to break that bad boy out.  I'll be practicing with a clean diaper at first.  My Fave: Sigma Diaper Sprayer

Ju Ju Be . BFF Diaper Bag
#13 - Diaper Bag - Now here's an area where I splurged.  I knew this item was going to be with me everyday and a part of my cool mommy wardrobe for the next 2-3 years (nothing says cool like a big teddy bear on the side of your diaper bag).  I knew I needed something big enough to carry all of Lincoln's stuff as well as my stuff (this would be my new purse), plus some little things for the girls such as snacks.  I also knew that I wanted a backpack.  I just think that backpacks are super easy to carry around while trying to manage two kids and a baby at the same time.  My Fave: Ju-Ju-Be  B.F.F.

Ragababe Easy All In One Diaper
#14 - Super Cute Diapers - You might say "What??? Why do I need cute diapers???". Ok, all cloth diapers are cute, but I'm talking super cute. Those diapers that just make you squee with delight and bust your budget trying to collect them all. Now you don't have to bust your budget to get super cute diapers. Just get at least one or two. So what's the point you ask? The point is to make other parents swoon and other babies wish they had back like your baby does. I find this really helps when all your friends and family can't understand your cloth obsession and swear you're going to quit one day. Oh yes! When they see that cute fluffy bum they will secretly wish they had picked cloth too.  My Faves: Ragababe (I also have a Doodle Dypes on the way and Chelory on my purchase radar)

Smart Snugs Diaper & My Little Legs
#15 - Leg Warmers - I know technically leg warmers are not a cloth diaper accessory, but oh how they make cloth diapering easier.  Don't be deceived by the name and have visions of Flashdance in your head (Oh memories!  I should watch that movie again).  They're basically really long socks with no feet that cover the entire leg.  Ok... they're leg warmers, but I try not to call them that around my husband since Linc is a boy.  I love that I can leave them on during diaper changes and I don't have to worry about pulling pants over his fluffy bum.  Plus they come in so many cute prints and I can show off Linc's cute diapers since they're not covered up with pants.  At the same time his legs are warm and protected while crawling.  My Faves: My Little Legs & Making my own (tutorial here)

So there you have it!  Those are my Top 15 Cloth Diaper Must Haves.  Not sure what I would do without them.  I definitely wouldn't be having as much fun as I am right now.  I definitely had a lot of fun creating this list.  Thanks DiaperShops.com for hosting such a great contest.  Here's a link to my Official Adventures In Fluff  "No Pins Required" Contest Entry.  I'd LOVE to see all your entries too!!!  Feel free to post a link to your No Pins Required contest entry below so we can all get some great ideas of new products to try.

Traveling with GroVia BioSoakers - Review

As you all might remember, last weekend we all went on our first out of town vacation with Lincoln to Disneyland.  Being that we were going to stay in a hotel, I had originally planned to just use regular disposable diapers on our trip.  I still had a whole package of them from our baby shower.  That was until I was offered the chance to test out GroVia's BioSoakers.  I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical of the BioSoakers (or any disposable insert for that matter), but I packed Lincoln's bag with our 50 pack of BioSoakers and all the diaper covers that I had.  Ok, I also packed my disposables ... just in case.

As soon as we got to our hotel I changed Lincoln into his first GroVia BioSoaker.  I guess I should have practiced before hand because I had no idea exactly how to put one of these things on.  It seemed a little big for my Thirsties Cover but I just ended up sticking it in there, securing the cover, and tucking the excess soaker in.  Then I crossed my fingers, said a little prayer, and hoped we wouldn't have a wet ... or worse yet ... a poopy outfit soon after.  Two hours later it was time for the moment of truth.  I went to change Lincoln and ... OMG!  I was totally surprised.  The only thing that was wet was his BioSoaker.  Not one drop had leaked out!!!  Ok, the BioSoaker could contain pee ... but could it contain newborn poop?  Well, I guess Lincoln was ready to test it out because his very next diaper he let out an explosive poop.  Ack!  I instantly looked all around his clothes expecting to see a poop blowout on his clothes, but I didn't see anything.  I opened up his diaper to change him and was totally amazed again.  The BioSoaker had fully contained the newborn poop and not only didn't let any poop get on his clothes, but also didn't let any poop get on the inside of the cover.  Amazing!  I was sold.  These BioSoakers are awesome!!!  The story was the same throughout our whole trip.  I did have one mess in the middle of the night, but I'm assuming I was too tired to put that diaper on correctly and so it was user error.  Otherwise we had no problems.

Overall I was very happy with the GroVia BioSoakers and would recommend them to anyone.  That's saying a lot coming from a disposable insert skeptic like I was.  I will now make sure to have a stash of BioSoakers on hand for extended travel and times when I need to use a non-cloth friendly diaper rash cream.  Check out the rest of my review and the video below for a closer look at this diapering option.

WHY CHOOSE A GROVIA BIOSOAKER:
- Better for the environment than standard disposable diapers
- Less chemicals touching baby than standard disposable diapers
- More convenient to use than cloth diapers when washing facilities are not available
- Way cuter looking than standard disposable diapers

HOW TO USE:
- Adjust the rise snaps on your diaper cover if applicable (BioSoakers are made to be used in GroVia Shells, but they can be used in any diaper cover)
- Lay BioSoaker in cover or secure in cover using sticky tabs located on the back of the BioSoaker.
- Fasten the diaper cover closed
- Tuck any portions of the BioSoaker that are sticking out, back into the diaper cover.

HOW TO DISPOSE:
- Compost (Remove any solid matter and compost in your garden or commercial composting program)
- Dispose (BioSoaker pads are plastic free and biodegrade in professionally managed composting programs)
- Flush (Tear open your pad and empty the core contents into the toilet.  Throw outer away)

THE SPECIFICS:
- Made with Biodegradable and Compostable Materials
- Fragrance and Dye Free
- Plastic and Chlorine Free
- Super Soft Lining (Certified natural, 100% Ingeo spunboud non-woven fabric)
- Core is made of sustainably harvested wood pulp fibers, containing a minimal amount of SAP gel.
- The Waterproof outer material is made with Bio-Film (fecula) and is 100% natural.

PERFORMANCE REVIEW:
Ease Of Use: ♥♥♥ - The time it takes to do a two part diaper system is a little longer than an AIO or a pocket diaper.  It also takes a bit more time to tuck the excess BioSoaker into the diaper.  Taking off the diaper is pretty easy though.  Just unfasten the diaper, throw the insert away and you're done.

Adjustability & Fit: ♥♥♥♥♥ - I would like to see these available in two or three sizes.  I felt that the one size was too large for Lincoln's newborn diaper.  I was able to roll the top and bottom of the soaker in, but it would have been much more convenient if it was available in a smaller size.  That being said, the elastic portion did fit Lincoln very well.  It was just the excess liner that bothered me.  I suppose if you didn't care about the look of the excess liner, you could leave it sticking out.  I doubt that it would affect the performance of the diaper.

Leak Protection: ♥♥♥♥♥ - I only had the one leak/blowout with this diaper and I'm pretty sure that it was user error since I was tired and it was in the middle of the night.  Otherwise the BioSoaker was awesome and contained everything great.

Wash Routine: ♥♥♥♥♥ - What's easier than just throwing the soaker away.  Very easy!  Of course it would take more effort if you were going to flush the interior of the diaper or compost, but I just throw them away.

Bang For The Buck: ♥♥♥♥♥ - If you compare the pricing to a cloth diaper then you're paying a lot more.  If you compare the pricing to a name brand sensitive disposable diaper then you're paying about the same or a little more.  If you compare the pricing to a bargain disposable diaper then you're going to be paying quite a bit more.  You will save a little over $3 a pack if you order on Costco.com, but you'll need to buy in bulk (8 packages of 50 diapers each).

The Look: ♥♥♥♥♥ - The look of the BioSoaker is way better than a regular disposable diaper.  You still get the look of a cloth diaper on the outside with whatever diaper cover you choose, but the ease of a disposable on the inside.

WHERE TO BUY:
- GroVia
- Costco
- One of my affiliate online cloth diaper retailers: Sweetbottoms Baby Boutique, Diaper Junction, Kelly's Closet, and Thanks Mama.

I LOVE ... Happy Baby Booty Balm by Mum Mum's Crafts

This being my first child in cloth diapers I've had to open my mind to new products that work better with cloth and my fluffy routine.  One of those products is diaper rash cream.  All the diaper rash creams that I had used with my girls are now on the no-no list in the cloth diapering world, so I set out to find some new options.  I needed to find a diaper rash cream that would not create build-up on Lincoln's diapers causing them to repel and no longer be absorbent.  I found a couple brands that I registered for and received as gifts at my baby shower and thought I was set with enough butt paste to last me a year.  Diaper rash cream ... Check!

About two weeks before Lincoln was born though, a friend of mine contacted me about a new item that she was just about to add to her product line, Mum Mum's Crafts.  Mum Mum's Crafts is a product line made up entirely of handmade, eco-friendly products, that are perfect for those of us that have skin sensitivities, but can also be used by anyone wanting a product that is both gentle on not only you, but also the environment.  Her products include mineral makeup, lotions, lip balms, deodorant, facial care products, soap, and more.  Being a mom and avid cloth diaperer herself, she began developing baby products and that included a cloth diaper safe diaper rash cream that she developed while pregnant with her third child.  Her Happy Baby Booty Balm is just now ready to present to the public and I was honored to be asked to test out the goods.  It was perfect timing with Lincoln about to make his debut.

I received two tiny sample containers of the Happy Baby Booty Balm.  My first thought when I opened it was "Hmmmmm...  It's green".  I wasn't expecting that.  All funny thoughts about the color quickly went away after I examined it closer though.  The smell of the booty balm is simply delicious!!!  It's sweet smelling, but not like candy.  It's natural smelling, but not woodsy.  It's the perfect blend that makes me want to lather my whole body in it just so I can smell it all day long.  Being that the sample is so small though, covering myself in it was not an option.  I guess Lincoln's booty would have to do.

My samples - Each container lasted two weeks
I started using the Happy Baby Booty Balm from day one of using cloth diapers on Lincoln.  With every change I wipe him clean from front to back and then dry him completely using a dry cloth wipe.  After he is completely dry I smear a small dab of the Happy Baby Booty Balm on my finger and spread it over his bum area.  It smells so great every time I use it and I love how thin and clear it is unlike your typical diaper rash cream.  I use the Happy Baby Booty Balm as a daily preventative care solution.  In the event that I do get a slight redness on Lincoln's bum, I have another cream I put on for the next change or two and then I go straight back to using the Happy Baby Booty Balm.  It's a great system for us and has kept Lincoln's butt looking smooth and clear from the start.

As for the specifics of the balm itself ... It comes in a cute little tin that you can take with you everywhere, and holds 1.2oz of balm.  The balm itself is made with a base of coconut oil and lanolin along with a medley of herbs, essential oils, and more that give it that sweet organic smell, feel, and look.  You won't find anything in this balm that isn't made in nature.  Listed below are the specific ingredients.

Ingredients: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Lanolin, Arctium lappa (Burdock Root) Extract, Echinacea Purpurea Extract, Althea officinalis (Marshmallow Root) Extract, Calendula Officinalis Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive Leaf) Extract, Symphytum Officinale (Comfrey Leaf) Extract, Plantago Major (Plantain) Extract, Carapa guianensis Nut (Andiroba) Oil, Emu Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Cera Alba (beeswax), Tocopherol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Oil

If you would like to purchase Mum Mum's Crafts - Happy Baby Booty Balm (or any of her other products), you can find them at her Etsy Shop, or Hyena Cart Shop.  The Happy Baby Booty Balm goes for $9.75 + Shipping.  Also be sure to check out Mum Mum's Crafts on Facebook, Twitter, and Mum Mum's Blog, for the latest news on new products and current specials.  Just a heads up that there is currently a special for 10% for all Mum Mum's Crafts Facebook fans.

Welcome LUXbutt ! ! ! ... Organic OS Diaper & Hemp Flattie Insert Review

It was way back in mid June when LUXbutt first contacted me about their new cloth diaper line coming out.  No pictures or information yet, but I have to admit I was intrigued.  It wasn't until mid August that sneak peak pictures started showing up on their Facebook page of what the diapers would look like.  At that point I was getting really excited.  I could tell from the small close-up pictures that they were going to be clean lined, natural, and luxurious looking.  Fast forward to mid September and I was selected to test out one of their new diapers and hemp flattie inserts.  Yay!  Mid October I received the samples and let me tell you I was not let down.  As soon as I opened my package I was totally in love with my LUXbutt diaper.  Whoo Hoo!  Time to prep and test this baby out.

LUXbutt Organic One Size Pocket Diaper
Color: Dark Chocolate (Black w/Chocolate Snaps) - $24.95

The new LUXbutt cloth diapers are a one size pocket diaper.  They fit most babies from 8-40 lbs.  As far as size adjustments they are very similar to a FuzziBunz or Charlie Banana diaper in that their leg adjustments are made via elastic button hole bands in the legs.  The elastic bands are accessed through the pocket opening inside the diaper which makes them very easy to change and they are easily concealed.  I did notice on my particular diaper that they numbers didn't seem to line up on each leg (I have mine set at a 2 on one leg and a 3 on the other), but it doesn't bother me.  I just size them by sight instead of by number.  I think this system has it's pluses and minuses.  On the plus side you don't have unsightly snaps on the front of the diaper.  On the minus side, if you have two kids it's harder to change the sizing back and forth (this does not apply to me since I only have one child in diapers).  Like FuzziBunz and Charlie Banana these diapers are also a snap diaper.  Each wing has three snaps and they also have a cross-over snap which is always helpful.

As for the interior of the diaper, you'll immediately notice the "LUX" feel of the diaper right away.  The entire interior lining of the diaper is made of 100% certified organic cotton velour.  The look and feel of it is simply luxurious!  Who wouldn't want fabric like that on their butt???  Now, cotton velour isn't stay dry like microfleece and suede are, but if that's not a problem for your baby, then I love the velour option.  Another feature you'll notice on the interior of the diaper is the pocket opening.  I love the nice large pocket opening and interior flap that help to keep the insert in.  Even dads can fit their hands inside these diapers to stuff (not like my husband will ever be doing the stuffing).  Last, but certainly not least by any means, you'll notice the leg and back elastic gatherings.  I how nice and soft the gatherings are so that they won't create marks on the baby's legs, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the large size of the elastic along the back side of the diaper.  No poop is getting past that barrier.

The diaper comes with one LUX hemp insert.  It's made with two layers of hemp organic cotton fleece and two hidden layers of microfiber.  You also have the option of ordering a Lux hemp flattie insert.  The flattie insert is a 15" x 15" prefold diaper made with two layers of organic hemp cotton fleece.  With this option you won't have to deal with the stink issues that sometimes come with microfiber, and because it's a prefold it will dry faster than a super thick hemp insert.  You can also double the flattie up with the hemp insert for even more layers of wetness control.  I'm also planning on trying my flattie out as just a regular prefold diaper.  I love options!  In the future LUXbutt will also have a bamboo insert, but it hasn't come out yet.  I can't wait to try it out though.

As for the overall look of the diaper I really like the simple and organic look of these.  The diaper collection has been appropriately labeled their "Chocolate Collection".  It comes in three different colors; White Chocolate (White), Milk Chocolate (Brown), and Dark Chocolate (Black).  First off, I LOVE chocolate.  Second, I love natural earthy colors.  This line is perfect for me.  I also like the simple classy label that is on the back of the diaper.  Sometimes you get a really nice looking diaper and they mess it all up with a really ugly tag hanging off of it.  I'm so glad that LUXbutt didn't mess this one up.

PERFORMANCE REVIEW
Since Lincoln was not ready to test out this diaper, I had a good friend of mine who cloth diapers her son test them out for me.  She was more than excited about the diaper and even said it was her favorite out of her entire diaper stash that includes several big name brands.  Her son is 10 months old and weighs around 20 pounds.  This review has been conducted by my mommy tester Melissa.

Ease Of Use: ♥♥♥♥Very simple to adjust and snap on. I was glad it was pretty quick to put on especially for my squirmy baby who always hates diaper changes.

Adjustability & Fit: ♥♥♥♥ - Surprisingly easy to adjust the rise at the inner leg. I got it right on the first adjustment! Love that the rise adjusts without the look of all the snaps on the front. It fit wonderfully and non bulky.  I do see that it might be a problem with families that have two children of different sizes in cloth though.  The leg elastic would be a pain to change each time.

Leak Protection: ♥♥♥♥ - I thought it did a great job with absorbency using the hemp. Never used a diaper with a hemp insert before and was surprised at how much it actually absorbed. It seemed to absorb near the same amount as my cotton inserts would, and the added benefit is you don't have the bulky bottom with hemp.  The only reason I gave it a 4, is because I was not able to test it overnight, which is where I have the most trouble with leak protection.

Wash Routine: ♥♥♥♥ -Washing it was a breeze and It did not seem to stain. I did notice a diff in the velour not being as soft after it was air dried vs. thrown in the dryer.  If I put it in the dryer for about 5 min, it fluffed back to normal and original softness was restored.

Bang For The Buck: ♥♥♥♥ - Although, I loved the look and feel, I would not be willing to spend $25 on one diaper, or any diaper for that matter. If it were more in the $21-$22 price range, I would feel more comfortable buying several at that price. ***I did want to add to this statement that I (Chana) think that the price is very well suited for the materials that are being used compared to other diapers that are offering the same.  The only drawback I see is the shipping cost from Canada.  I would like to see a US retailer pick this line up so that the shipping costs will be more manageable.***

The Look: ♥♥♥♥♥ - My initial impression was Luxurious! The lining is super soft and comfortable. I knew my son was in heaven when he wore them. He seemed to crawl around so comfortably. It was very flexible and not stiff and loaded with inserts that create a bulky appearance. My husband even noticed how nice the diaper was on the initial feel and appearance. It was nice to see a clean smooth front of the diaper instead of all the snaps you typically see for  an adjustable rise.

Misc Comments - This diaper was by far my favorite diaper I've used. I wish I had more of them. Holding my baby in them felt really good, so I know he must have loved wearing them as well. I loved the ease of adjustability and the look with less snaps on the front. I loved the absorbency and the fact that my baby's bum did not look bulky for a change. Most of all, my husband thought it was outstanding and had an good opinion about it, which tells me a lot.

 _________________________________________________________________________________

Overall I love this diaper and would recommend it to anyone.  They only setback I see right now is that it's coming from Canada which means a high shipping cost, but hopefully an online retailer here in the U.S. will pick up the line soon.  You can bet I'll be writing a few of them and asking them to carry the line.  Till then check out their great sale that's going on right now on their website.  They currently have shipping for a flat $3.95 fee in the US and Canada, accessories for 20% off, diapers for $21.95, and bulk diaper deals as well.  Scoop these deals up while you can.  Their grand opening specials only last till Nov 15th.  Sign up for their Facebook page too so you will know when future sales are coming up.

I hope you enjoyed this review of the brand new LUXbutt diaper line.  I know I'm really excited about it and so glad that I came across their products.  They'll definitely be at the top of my diaper stash.  Be sure to check back here again.  I'll be having lots of reviews coming up now that Lincoln is here.  So excited to finally test out all my fluff ... and other mommy stuff as I continue on my Adventures In Fluff.
