"The Baby Chase" by Leslie Morgan Steiner - Review and Giveaway

The Baby Chase
Last month I was honored to receive a preview copy of The Baby Chase by Leslie Morgan Steiner.  For the most part I'm no longer accepting items to review, but this book came at just the perfect time right before our embryo transfer.  What better book to read while you sit hoping that two little beans (or at least one) will stick, than a book about the history of surrogacy and a couple's journey to fulfill their dream of building a family?  I'll admit that I did bring a back up book with me just in case the story didn't grab me enough to finish it and it's actually a good thing that I did.  Not because The Baby Chase was a bad book, but because it was so good that I couldn't put it down and I finished it in a day!

When I first opened this book I didn't really know what to expect.  I figured the obvious based on the cover and the title. This would be a story based on a couple that turned to surrogacy to build their family.  That in itself was interesting for me.  I'd heard bits and pieces of how other couples journeys in surrogacy began and ended (including the intended parents for whom I'm now helping grow their own family), but I'd never heard a story from beginning to end in so much detail.  What I didn't expect from this book was all the education and history that it weaved in while telling this amazing story.  While reading I was able to learn how IVF and surrogacy got started and how it has grown around the world.  I've learned the advances and the setbacks as well as the positives and the negatives.

I'll admit that the story started out with a bit of descriptive fluff that distracted me.  I think I'm just the impatient type that just wants to jump right in.  It also took me awhile to get used to the constant switch in topic from the story of Rhonda and Gerry Wile, to the history and statistics of IVF and surrogacy.  But once I got used to the flow of the writing, I couldn't put it down!  I was eager to learn more about how this amazing technology came to be, where it is now, and where it might be headed in the future.  I was also on pins and needles to find out if Rhonda and Gerry would ever get the family that they desired and intrigued about their route of going through an agency in India.  The story brought tears to my eyes and hope for my own journey with Belle and Adam and their dream to one day have a child, as well as the many other couples and singles that are also working on their own dream of a family.  We will do this!  Together we can all make this happen!

In the end, I would say that, The Baby Chase is a captivating story of not only a couple's struggle to create a family with one vasectomy and two vaginas, but also a very interesting look at the history of IVF and surrogacy around the world.  It's a story that I feel any intended parent, surrogate, donor, IVF health care professional, or anyone else involved in the world of surrogacy should read.  It shows you what we are fighting for,  who we are fighting for, and why.  After reading this story, I immediately headed over to Rhonda and Gerry's blog to congratulate them on their beautiful family and for sharing their story with the world.  Thank you Rhonda and Gerry!  And thank you Leslie for writing it so beautifully.  Thanks!

SillBilly Stinker Bottoms - All In Two Cloth Diaper Review

SillBilly Stinker Bottoms All In Two Cloth Diaper

Diaper Features:

Sizing:  One Size diaper fitting babies from approximately 8-35 lbs via a snap down rise (Also comes in newborn)

Closure:  Snaps with two snaps on each wing and crossover wings

Exterior:  1/2 PUL and 1/2 woven cotton

Interior Lining:  Minky dot

Hidden Layers:  N/A

Soaker:  There is one snap in snake style soaker made of hemp/cotton and a lay in soaker made of bamboo/cotton.

Manufactured:  Ohio, USA

Approximate Retail Value:  $18

Performance Review:

Ease Of Use: ♥♥♥♥♥ - This diaper is pretty easy to use as far as cloth diapers go.  Yes, there are snaps on the wings, but there are only two snaps per wing which I really appreciate with my wiggly toddler.  I'm also a fan of the snap down rise.  It really makes rise changes quick and easy (especially if you have two in cloth that are different sizes).  I like that the insert snaps in, and although the insert is a snake style insert I still like it.  I'm usually not a fan of snake style because I hate the hassle of folding, but this one is just the right length so all I do is fold it in half, lay the doubler on top, and put it in my diaper basket so it's ready to go come diaper change time.  It doesn't take any longer to put on than any other petal soaker.  Now, this may not be true if your baby is smaller though.  I'm guessing there would be more folding involved.

SillBilly Stinker Bottoms All-In-Two Cloth Diaper
Adjustability & Fit: ♥♥♥♥♥ -  I really like the adjustability of this diaper.  The rise has 4 settings and the wings have crossover snaps.  I also love that when the baby is smaller, I can just remove the long snake soaker and just use the lay in soaker for a trimmer fit.  The legs get pretty small too, so I can see how this would fit a smaller baby well.  That being said, this diaper does not have separate waist and hip snaps, so you can not adjust them differently if your child has legs that are extremely large or extremely thin for their waist size.  Luckily we didn't have a problem.  The wings did curl a bit while wearing the diaper, but it does not affect the function.

Leak Protection: ♥♥♥♥♥ - I was actually pretty surprised by the leak protection of this diaper.  I generally try to steer clear of cloth diapers that have hidden PUL and cotton on top.  I just find that they usually wick a lot more than diapers that do not have cotton on top.  Anyways, this diaper didn't seem to wick any faster than those that are completely PUL on the outside.  I think it lasted about 3 hours on average.  It's by no means a nighttime diaper, but great for the day.  Linc also had a massive wet poo in this diaper and nothing escaped!  Bonus! *Please note: This is an All-In-Two diaper and no additional diaper cover is needed*

SillBilly Stinker Bottoms AI2 Cloth Diaper
Wash Routine: ♥♥♥♥♥ - Wash routine is fairly easy for this diaper.  I separate the shell from the soaker and throw them in the wash.  When they come out of the wash the soakers go in the dryer and the shell gets laid out to dry.  I like that the soaker is in two parts and the main soaker long, so that they get much cleaner than a bulky soaker and dry a lot faster too.  When everything is dry I just snap the soaker in, fold it in half, lay the doubler on top, wrap it all up, and it's ready to go.  You do have to spend the time to pair the soakers back up with the diaper and put it all back together, but I still find it's way faster than a pocket diaper.

Bang For The Buck: ♥♥♥♥♥ - This is a SERIOUSLY AWESOME  price!!!  A diaper this cute for this price, that works this well is totally rare.

Quality & Durability: ♥♥♥♥♥ - So far the quality and durability of this diaper seems great!  All the seams look straight and the materials look to be of a nice quality.  I really like the feel and look of the soakers too.  They didn't curl, bunch, or get wavy after repeated washes.  All the snaps worked, but a few could have snapped a bit more securely.  What can I say?  I'm a stickler when it comes to snaps working perfectly.

The Look: ♥♥♥♥♥ - Super cute!!!!!  I love wing to wing designs where there is one fabric on the wings and back, with another fabric on the front and between the legs.  It gives a nice contrast and she's chosen very nice colors.  I even love the interior lining color as well as the attention to detail she's put into the snaps.  My only complaint is that the wings tend to curl a bit while on.  It doesn't bother me that much.  It's just something I noticed.  Oh, I also am not keen on the white thread over brown PUL.  I wish she would have changed thread color.

In Conclusion:
I would totally recommend these diapers!  They're super cute, they work great, and they're available at an awesome price!!!  What more could you possibly want?

Fun with Pinypon and Nenuco! - a review #PinyponParty

Mommy Parties Pinypon Review
Riley & Reagan's dolls all dressed and ready to go!
Well, we're at it again!  I love to throw parties and the girls love to have play dates, so you can bet I was super excited to be hosting another event for MommyParties!  This time we were fortunate to be able to test out some super cute toys perfect for the girls and their friends.  MommyParties sent us a complete kit to throw a party play date for the girls and 10 of their closest friends between the ages of 4-7.  This was perfect for us since Reagan just turned 5 and Riley is just about to turn 7 so their friends fit right into this age range.  MommyParties gave me some great ideas for food and games, so we just ran with it and had a blast!

The Party:
Unfortunately life happens so we had to postpone our party by a week.  Riley and Brian were sick and parties are no fun with sickies.  Because of the date change we lost a few guests, but we still had a good turn out and the kids had a blast.  I set up the dinning table with the Pinypon dolls, PinyPon Caravan, and Nenuco Newborn Doll.  Each child got to play with and take home one of the Pinypon dolls.  They also got to play with the Caravan and Nenuco doll that we were sent to test out.  After play time we served lunch and then the girls decorated cupcakes.  The grande finale of the party was the prizes.  I had each of the girls names written on pieces of paper.  Riley then picked names for the two winners which got to take home their very own Nenuco doll and Pinypon Caravan.  They were so excited.  Such a fun time for both the kids and the mommies.

The kids had fun at our Pinypon review party

Pinypon

What Is It?  Pinypon is a miniature figurine doll that you can mix and match their hair, heads, upper body, lower body, and accessories.  In addition to the dolls, you can also buy other accessories such as the Caravan we received, or other items such as a mall, hotel, apartment, or car.  Kids can collect dolls and exchange pieces with friends to create their perfect doll.

Eating cupcakes at our Pinypon testing party
What I Thought:  The dolls are super cute!  They have an anime feel to their design and come in super bright, fun colors.  The toys look very well made and great quality.  I also like the price.  Each doll is about $4, or $20 for a set of 10.  Seems like a good deal to me!  My only negative feedback comes from the fact that I have a smaller baby at home who loves to put things in his mouth.  These toys have some small accessories, and when I say small... I mean really small.  That's part of the cute and fun factor, but with a baby it makes things difficult.

What The Girls Thought:  The girls loved them!  They all had so much fun playing with both the dolls and the caravan.  They loved switching up the pieces and especially loved playing with their dolls on the caravan with all the small accessories.  What could be more fun than having a tea party with super tiny plates, cups, and even mini straws.  The highlight was the shower though.  The caravan actually has a shower that really works when water is added.  I'll admit that it took another mom to figure it out, but once we did the kids had a blast washing their dolls.  My only complaint was the time it took to stick all the stickers on and figuring out where they all went.  Once they were on it looked awesome though.  The girls only complaint was that it was slightly difficult to put their dolls back together once they took them apart.  My 7 year old had an easier time than my 5 year old.  With my help the pieces went together nicely though and after using them a few times they snapped on and off a lot easier.  This was my 7 year old's favorite toy.

Pinypon is so cute!
Nenuco Newborn Doll

Testing and reviewing our Nenuco Newborn Baby Doll
What is it?  The Nenuco Newborn Doll is a soft plastic doll that your children can hold, dress, feed (water from a sippy cup), and pacify.  When the baby is done eating your child can put them on the potty and the doll will pee.

What I thought:  I like the soft plastic used for the doll so it isn't super hard, but it's still completely waterproof.  One of the legs was bent in from the packaging, but after being out of the box for an hour, it went back to normal.  I did find the doll a bit messy with the water, but at least it's just water.  My only recommendation would be to provide a cloth diaper with the doll.  This way the child could feed the baby without them being on the potty.  Luckily I have lots of cloth diapers on hand.  LOL!!!

What The Girls Thought:  The girls are going through an elimination fascination phase so they think this doll is awesome!!!  What could be more fun than holding your own little baby, feeding them, and then putting them on the potty?  My girls could do this over and over and over... and they did.  I'll just have to keep my eye on them and make sure they don't give the baby juice.  I wouldn't want any mold to grow in there.  This was my 5 year old's favorite toy at the party.

I would love to thank MommyParties, Pinypon, & Nenuco for this great opportunity and would totally recommend these products.  The girls had a great time and can't wait to get their new toys out again tomorrow.

boogie BUMS One-Size Hybrid Fitted Cloth Diaper - Inside and Outside
Performance Review:

Ease Of Use: ♥♥♥♥♥ -  This diaper is pretty typical as far as ease of use for a fitted.  Snaps do take time but after awhile I've gotten used to it.  The fact that this diaper has a great stretch in the wings really helps when putting it on my wiggle worm.  I also like that the soaker is a petal style soaker that I don't need to fold.  I will say that she does have a new soaker that you do need to fold.  That's not bad, but I personally like petal style.

boogie BUMS One-Size Hybrid Fitted Cloth Diaper - On my baby
Adjustability & Fit: ♥♥♥♥♥ -  I love the fit of this diaper!  The stretch is awesome and it really seems to hug Linc like a glove with room to spare.  I love when a diaper gives me some wiggle room because as you all know by now, I have quite the chunky little man.  This is a slightly fluffy diaper, but not overly fluffy.  I guess it just comes with the hybrid diaper territory.  Most hybrids are pretty fluffy.  As for the one-size feature of this diaper, I think it would have no problem fitting a child all the way up to potty training.  It does get pretty large.

Leak Protection: ♥♥♥♥♥ -  This diaper is awesome as far as absorbency!!!  I love that I can have Linc run around in it without a cover with no fear of getting me or my furniture wet.  No it is not waterproof, but it's pretty darn close.  For full protection you will need a cover.  I can go hours during the day without a cover and he will only get a slight cool feeling on the front.  During the night I cover this with a PUL cover and we have no leaks.  That's 12 hours of protection on my heavy wetter that eats the whole night long.

boogie BUMS One-Size Hybrid Fitted Cloth Diaper - On my baby
Wash Routine: ♥♥♥♥♥ -  My wash routine is fairly easy.  I throw the diaper in the wash with the soaker snapped in and then it gets thrown in the dryer.  For some reason although the soaker has two snaps, it never fails that this soaker comes un-snapped in the wash.  The does leave me with the extra step of snapping it in again.  This soaker also takes awhile to dry at approximately 105 minutes due to the way the soaker is sewn with a half moon seam at the top.  *Please note that this rating is based on the soaker design that I received. She currently ships diapers with a snake style soaker which would dry faster and may or may not come un-snapped in the wash.*

Bang For The Buck: ♥♥♥♥♥ -  $30 is a little above average for a WAHM fitted diaper, but not by much.  It's also a one-size diaper so you do get a lot of use out of it and it's also great quality and super cute!  Worth it?  Yes it is.
boogie BUMS One-Size Hybrid Fitted Cloth Diaper - Review

Quality & Durability: ♥♥♥♥♥ - The quality and durability of this diaper is actually really great!  All the seams were perfect, the snaps work great, and the materials seem to be top notch.  The only reason I didn't give it a perfect score was because the stitching came out of my little label tag on the outside.

The Look: ♥♥♥♥♥ -  I LOVE the look of this diaper!!!!  I had no hand in picking the colors for this diaper, but let me tell you I gasped when I saw it.  Not only was it in a print that I had always wanted, but the snap colors and interior lining matched up perfectly!  I actually ran this diaper in to show my husband because I was so excited, and I never do that.

In Conclusion:
I would highly recommend this diaper to anyone that wants a high quality fitted, that's cute, one-size, and can be used without a cover.  It might not be the best newborn option, but as soon as your child gets a little bigger this diaper is awesome!

Monkey Rump Diapers One-Size Hybrid Fitted Cloth Diaper - Inside and Outside
Performance Review:

Ease Of Use: ♥♥♥♥♥ -  These are pretty typical as far as ease for a fitted diaper.  Most fitted diapers will have three snaps on each wing and snap in soakers.  I do like that I don't have to fold the soaker, but the fact that there are two soakers attached by one snap each means that they can shift easily.  I then have to line them up which isn't always easy with my crazy boy.

Monkey Rump Diapers OS Hybrid Fitted Cloth Diaper - On my baby
Adjustability & Fit: ♥♥♥♥♥ - I love the fit of these diapers!!!  I get an awesome snug fit on the legs and have room to grow on the waist.  That's saying a lot with my chunky big guy.  Not only that, but this diaper also gets really small so it can also fit a smaller baby as well.  Yes, it's a one-size diaper so the fit isn't perfect on a newborn, but it is doable.  The rise is still a bit high and the diaper a bit bulky, but I do like that you can remove one of the inserts to create a trimmer diaper for a smaller baby.  As for the size of the diaper, it's slightly large and fluffy, but not overly large and fluffy.  It still fits nicely under a cover.

Leak Protection: ♥♥♥♥♥ - This diaper works really well as far as leak protection.  I can easily let Linc run around the house in this diaper without a cover on and have no fears of finding a sopping wet diaper anytime soon.  This is all thanks to the fact that this is a hybrid diaper.  That means it has a fleece barrier hidden inside that helps to keep the moisture inside the diaper.  It's not waterproof, but it will keep the diaper drier on the outside longer than a regular fitted diaper.  I would also feel ok running a super quick errand in this diaper without a cover.  I've also used this diaper at night with a cover and have had no leaks.  That's about a 12 hour time span.  *Please note that this diaper does require a cover to be waterproof.*

Monkey Rump Diapers OS Hybrid Fitted Cloth Diaper - On my baby
Wash Routine: ♥♥♥♥♥ - These are average on wash routine.  They do dry fast (about 75 min in my dryer), but the inserts come undone in the washer.  This means that I have to spend the time to locate and re-snap in the inserts after washing.  It doesn't take long, but it is an extra step.

Bang For The Buck: ♥♥♥♥♥ -  At $21 these diapers are on the low side for a WAHM fitted hybrid diaper.  No, they aren't the cheapest fitted diapers that you can find, but for the quality and cuteness these are a great deal.  Plus they're a one-size diaper so that's another plus.

Quality & Durability: ♥♥♥♥♥ - The quality of the diaper shell is really nice.  All the seams are even and straight and the materials look to be of a high quality.  That being said I do have a bit of difficulty with the snaps.  They do snap, but they don't always click in as secure as I would like them to.  I also noticed that the bamboo on the soakers was shrinking more than the velour which created curled edges.  It's not really a function issue, but more an aesthetic issue.

The Look: ♥♥♥♥♥ -  These diapers are super cute!!!  I'm pretty sure that the designer and I are on the same wavelength because every print that she chooses is totally my style.

Monkey Rump Diapers OS Hybrid Fitted Cloth Diaper - On my baby
In Conclusion:
I love this diaper!  I would recommend it to anyone that wants a one-size fitted diaper that is super cute and will hold in moisture for a long time.  I do wish the snaps would click in better, but that's my only big hang up on them.  I will warn you though.  If you go check out her shop, you will want to buy.  These diaper prints are tooooooo cute!!!!!!  I just fell in love with the monster trucks print as soon as I saw it and yep, I just had to buy it.  Linc totally rocks the monster trucks.

BUNNZOO Diapers - One Size Pocket Diaper Review

Bunnzoo one-size pocket diaper
The first BUNNZOO diapers that I tried, I won off of another blog giveaway.  They were two of her pocket diapers.  I was super amazed by how well they fit and how easy they were to put on.  They were pretty cute too.  If you check out my most recent stash video that I did last summer then you'll see that although I'm veering away from pocket diapers, BUNNZOO pocket diapers are one of my favorites of the pocket diapers I still use.  Last month you might have seen my review of the BUNNZOO fitted diapers.  Now I'm excited to review their pocket diapers for you.  Check out what I have to say below.

Diaper Features:

Sizing:  One Size fitting babies from 10-35 lbs via a snap down rise or button hole elastic

Closure:  Snaps (2-3 on each wing) - Hook and Loop is also available

Exterior:  PUL (also available with cotton exterior and hidden PUL layer)

Interior Lining:  Microfleece (also available with Velour interior)

Insert:  Microfiber & Zorb or Microfiber & Velour

Manufactured:  NE, USA

Approximate Retail Value:  $18.95

Bunnzoo one-size pocket diaper inside and outside

Performance Review:

Ease Of Use: ♥♥♥♥♥ - For a pocket diaper I find these pretty easy to use.  The pocket is a good size and the inserts fit very well.  I also LOVE my two snap BUNNZOO diaper.  It's so fast to put on.  If you have multiple children of different sizes I'd go with the snap down rise, but if you don't have to worry about changing the rise then I like the clean look of the button hole elastic.

Bunnzoo pocket diaper on my baby
Adjustability & Fit: ♥♥♥♥♥ - I love the fit of this diaper.  It fits awesome around the legs creating a secure yet comfortable seal.  The waist also fits very nicely.  Linc is on the last setting without using snap covers, but once he starts walking I anticipate that he will slim down a bit.  The legs don't get super small, but it looks like it would fit a 10-12 pound baby.  It's pretty typical for one-size diapers not to get super small or super big though, so I'm not surprised by this.

Leak Protection: ♥♥♥♥♥ - These diapers work pretty well on leak protection.  It's not my nighttime solution diaper, but it works great during the day.  I use two inserts if I'm going out and about for quite awhile or just one insert if I'm at home or going on a quick outing.

Wash Routine: ♥♥♥♥♥ - It's a pocket diaper, so you do have to stuff this diaper each time you wash it which can get tiring after awhile.  I do like that the covers dry super fast when I lay them out though and I don't have to worry about hook and loop closures sticking to everything in the wash.

Bunnzoo pocket diaper on my baby
Bang For The Buck: ♥♥♥♥♥ - This is about average pricing for a pocket diaper.  Being a one-size diaper you should get a lot of bang for your buck though.

Quality & Durability: ♥♥♥♥♥ - I find the quality and durability of these diapers to be pretty good.  I've only had a problem with one of her diapers where the seam came out, but she replaced it very quickly. All other diapers have had super nice seams, with a very consistent and clean look.

The Look: ♥♥♥♥♥ -  Being a work at home mom business, BUNNZOO has some very cute prints and variety.  They aren't my absolute favorite, but they're definitely not boring.

In Conclusion:
I really like the BUNNZOO pocket diapers and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a one-size pocket diaper in cute prints.  I personally am getting too busy to stuff pocket diapers, but I do love the BUNNZOO flat fold inserts that give me the option to lay them inside the diaper instead of stuffing the diaper.  I love having options!  My only complaint is that the website is a little confusing.  I'd love for the diapers to be labeled a bit better as an AIO, pocket, AI2, etc. and label what the diaper is made out of since they vary so much.

Little Fancy Pants - One Size (Size: 2) Hybrid Fitted Diaper Review

Little Fancy Pants One-Size Hybrid Fitted Cloth Diaper
Since I've been on the fitted diaper kick I've heard a lot about Little Fancy Pants.  Well, you knew it would happen sooner or later.  Yes, I had to buy one.  This super cute diaper lured me in with it's wonderful fall colors.  It's technically the Reese's Pieces diaper, but it also reminds me of pumpkin pie, fall, and Halloween (all things I love).  Anyways, you can imagine my excitement when I got it in the mail.  It was so fluffy, squishy, soft, stretchy, and cute, all wrapped up in one.  Oh yes, I'm in love with another diaper.  I wish this diaper would have been in my September Fitted Diaper Event line up.  I'm pretty sure it would have come out with an award.  That said, I'm sure you know I love this diaper, but for more on why please check out my review below.

Performance Review:

Ease Of Use: ♥♥♥♥♥ - With three snaps on each wing this diaper is pretty much average on ease of use for fitted diapers.  What makes it a bit easier is the stretch of the wings.  These wings are SUPER stretchy.  It makes wrapping this diaper around Linc and snapping it way easier than a diaper with little to no stretch at all.  I also like that the petals of the soaker are short so I don't have to fold them down when putting this diaper on Linc.

Adjustability & Fit: ♥♥♥♥♥ - I love the fit of this diaper.  It has amazing stretch!  The wings hug Linc perfectly and the legs are secure, but not too tight.  I can even still cross the wings over so he's got plenty of room to grow in this diaper!  Even on a newborn this diaper seems to work well.  The legs get really small and so does the waist.  Yes, it's going to be a bit bulky since it's not a newborn diaper, but it will work.  I just wish you could separate the soakers so that you could just use one on a newborn or smaller baby.  That would make the diaper less bulky.

Leak Protection: ♥♥♥♥♥ - This diaper is awesome as far as leak protection!  It can last hours during the day without a cover and will only feel damp on the outside and I've had absolutely no problems with it during the night.  Linc can go all night in this diaper with a PUL cover with no leaks at all.

Wash Routine: ♥♥♥♥♥ - This diaper is great as far as wash routine.  Since it snaps, I don't have to worry about hook and loop getting stuck on everything.  Since the insert snaps in, I just leave it snapped in the wash and I don't have to worry about matching it up after it's done drying.  It also dries pretty quickly for a fitted.  This diaper takes about 75 min to dry in the dryer.

Bang For The Buck: ♥♥♥♥♥ -  At $24 this diaper is pretty average in price for a WAHM fitted diaper, but for a diaper of this quality I'd say it's an awesome price.  It's also a one-size diaper so that's double awesome.

Quality & Durability: ♥♥♥♥♥ - The quality and durability of this diaper is awesome!  I think I'm using that word too much, but it is.  I've had no problems with this diaper at all.

The Look: ♥♥♥♥♥ -  These diapers are soooooo cute!  She consistantly stocks a lot of diapers each week and they're always way too cute for words.  This diaper totally lured me in with it's Reese's Pieces colors.  Yum!  I love those candies.

In Conclusion:
This is an awesome diaper!  If I had written this review last month before I did the Fitted Diaper Awards then I'm pretty sure it would have received one.  It's great on fit, great on absorbency, super cute, super squishy, super stretchy, and a decent one-size diaper.  Yep, it's an awesome diaper.  So if that's what you're looking for then I would totally recommend this diaper to you!

Bagshot Row Bamboo - Hybrid Elite Review

Bagshot Row Bamboo Hybrid Elite Fitted Cloth Diaper
I heard of Bagshot Row Bamboo early in my research of fitted cloth diapers this summer.  With all the positive feedback I just had to try one.  Well as soon as I saw this print I just knew it was the one for me.  I had to have it!!!  Unfortunately I had a prior engagement (play date) already planned for the time these diapers were stocking so I enlisted the help of a friend to get this diaper.  Yes, getting these diapers requires help because they sell out in seconds.  Well if you've ever stalked diapers then you know that diapers normally stock in east coast time and I'm pacific coast time.  Well, I converted the time wrong in my head and long story short (too late for that I guess), I just barely got this diaper.  So glad I did though because I'm in love.  Check out my review to see why.

Bagshot Row Bamboo Hybrid Elite Fitted Cloth Diaper - Inside and Outside

Performance Review:

Ease Of Use: ♥♥♥♥♥ - This diaper is pretty easy to use.  There are three snaps so it does take some time to put on, but that's pretty typical with fitted diapers and the great stretch of this diaper makes snapping this diaper on a breeze.  I also like the length of the soaker in this diaper.  It's the perfect length and I don't have to fold it down to make it fit in the diaper.

Adjustability & Fit: ♥♥♥♥♥ - I love the fit of this diaper on my guy!  I've heard some say that it's too trim in between the legs and on the butt, but I like that about this diaper.  Nice and trim.  It's also really stretchy so Linc has room to grow in it still.  He actually still uses the crossover snaps.  As for a newborn the snap version fits ok, but there are leg gaps.  I was able to get a much better fit with the snapless version on a newborn.  I wonder if you could just add snaps later?  Not sure, but it's a thought.

Leak Protection: ♥♥♥♥♥ - This diaper is great as far as leak protection.  I have no fears about Linc going around the house in this fitted diaper without a cover and would even take him to run short errands around town in this diaper without a cover.  Yep, it's that good.  Linc was also able to wear this diaper overnight with a PUL cover and no leaks. *Please note: This diaper does require a cover to be waterproof*

Wash Routine: ♥♥♥♥♥ - This diaper is pretty easy as far as wash routine.  I just take off the diaper, leave the soaker snapped in, throw it in the wash, and then throw it in the dryer.  Leaving the soaker snapped in saves me the extra step of having to locate the soaker and snapping it back in when putting away my diaper laundry.  I do have to locate the doubler though since it does not snap in.  Dry time is pretty quick on these diapers too (about 75 min).

Bang For The Buck: ♥♥♥♥♥ -  This diaper is about average in price for a WAHM fitted diaper.  At least it's a one-size diaper so you won't have to worry about sizing up.

Quality & Durability: ♥♥♥♥♥ - Love the quality and durability of this diaper.  I can really tell it's made well and will last a long time.

The Look: ♥♥♥♥♥ -  This diaper is soooooo cute!  I just had to have it the second I saw it.  The worst part though.... ALL her diapers are sooooooo cute so I constantly want them all.  Unfortunately I don't always have $$$ in my PayPal account.  Boo!  Why can't money grow on trees?  I'd have a whole farm.

In Conclusion:
I love this diaper!!!  I would recommend it to those that want a nice trim hybrid option that will work on both a skinny and a chunky baby.  You'll also want to check this company out if you're looking for cute diaper.  She stocks seriously cute diapers every week.
