I woke up this morning at 7am nice and refreshed after sleeping in my super cozy bed. Transfer was set for 9:45 and I had to get to the clinic by 9:00, so I just did a super quick warming up yoga routine to get my body going and my blood moving. I checked my e-mail, social networks, got dressed (in my proud surrogate shirt of course), and headed down for breakfast. By 8:50 I was out the door and headed to the clinic. Here we go!!!!
When they called me back to the consult room Grace gave me all the specifics on what I can and cannot do during this time. More like all the things I cannot do. No sex, no swimming, no baths (showers are ok), no heavy lifting (that means you Linc!), and no stress. Just think happy baby thoughts and be healthy. I can do that! After that Dr. Lavy came in to go over the procedure and the embryos. The only problem was that I only saw one embryo on the picture he was carrying. I asked him, "There are two embryos right?" He informed me that they were under the assumption that we were only doing a single embryo transfer as Belle and Adam had wanted. After a little waiting and a quick phone call to Belle and Adam, Dr. Lavy confirmed that there should in fact be two embryos. It would take another 30-45 minutes for them to thaw out another embryo. Isn't technology amazing!!! So I went on a walk while the other baby was brought back to life.

So now we wait. Luckily with IVF the wait is a bit less. These embryos were about 5 days old already so we should see something on a pregnancy test in about 4-6 days give or take. I'm not sure when we'll start testing yet. I'm still trying to figure that out with Belle, but I'm guessing it will be around Tuesday or Wednesday. Wouldn't a Halloween BFP (big fat positive) be just perfect!!!!!!! Till then I'll be doing progesterone suppositories 3x a day and thinking sticky baby thoughts. Stick baby stick! I'll be testing hormones on the 31st and have my first official beta pregnancy test on the 7th.
Wish us luck!!!!!!
